Life After Big Brother Amplified 2011
As a new season of Big Brother Africa beckons, one wonders what could have happened to the Big Brother Amplified Housemates but one thing is certain; fame comes naturally once you have had a stint in the Big Brother Africa House.
We surfed the World Wide Web to see what some of our most loved Amplified Housemates have been up to since they left the House.
Riding the music wagon are Zimbabwe’s Vimbai who recently released her first single “Summer of Love” and it seems Zeus and Lomwe created a lasting friendship in the House as they have collaborated on an album with the title track “Double Wowza”.
The word “wowza” was made famous by the Malawian Housemate in the Amplified House and it was soon ‘trending’ all over the continent.
Ethiopia’s Hanni features in Zambian musician JK’s latest video “Pistol”.
Still on that entertainment tip, Ghana’s Confidence who owns Aphrodisiac Nightclub in Accra is said to be expanding her business and will soon open a new branch in Kumasi.
Her country mate, Alex aka Boomaye is living up to his standards of being “The Ladies Man” as he was dubbed in the House following his acquaintance with the female Housemates.
If he wasn’t messing around with Kenya’s Millicent, he was frolicking the well-endowed Botswana’s Miss P or giving Angola’s Weza sexy looks.
According to various Ghanaian websites, Alex is set to feature in a spanking new reality tv show ”I’m in Love With…” where 12 women from across Africa will compete for his love.
Meanwhile, a number of the former Housemates have been involved in charity work in their countries. The Season winners; Karen and Wendall have done tremendous work as youth ambassadors which saw Wendall being selected as an ambassador for the National Blood service of Zimbabwe.
Apparently, Uganda’s Ernest will be hosting a couple of shows in Lagos for the next two years after signing with a Nigerian entertainment company.
Big Brother StarGame launches on Sunday May 6, 2012 at 20:00 CAT on DStv channel 198.
